Contract Length: Permanent
 Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week
 Hours of work: 8am-4pm Monday to Friday (however you will be required to work additional hours, as necessitated by the needs of the role)
 Weeks of Work: Term Time Only Please note that some time during school holidays across the year is allocated for training
 Pay: Salary Banding: £22,500-£26,000 actual salary (£25,425-£29,380 FTE salary) Additional Responsibility: £26,000-£27,000 actual salary (£29,380-£30,510 FTE salary).

 Overview: Our TFTF Inclusion Provision offers a fully managed, tailored learning environment within mainstream partner schools, designed to support high-risk young people and prevent permanent exclusions or placements in alternative provision. Our goal is to provide students with a highly successful educational experience, leading to strong, individualized outcomes, while leveraging the strengths and resources of the mainstream school setting.
Our Inclusion Mentors play a vital role in this process, engaging with students both in the centre and within classroom settings or isolation interventions. They ensure a positive learning atmosphere, uphold high expectations, and foster an exceptional culture throughout the provision.

The main objectives and responsibilities of the role are:
Foster and maintain a positive learning environment for all students.
Actively contribute to the TFTF and school team, promoting a positive team culture.
Deliver social and emotional learning curriculum to students.
Maintain a productive learning space in the isolation intervention, ensuring high expectations.
Support students with their academic learning and improvement.
Enhance student behaviour and outcomes.
Encourage and promote high student attendance.
Implement behaviour policies and procedures effectively.
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
Collaborate with school staff to support and facilitate students' academic success.
Assist teaching staff with behaviour management.
Conduct 1:1 and group mentoring sessions using the bespoke TFTF Curriculum.
Facilitate strong communication with parents and lead an effective parental engagement strategy.

  •  Related teaching or mentoring qualifications
  • Knowledge of relevant policies including safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, etc.
  • Experience of working with external agencies
